Palmetto GBA to process Medicare claims for NV, HI, CA

During the month of August, 2008, Palmetto GBA will begin processing Medicare claims for Nevada, Hawaii and California. These claims were previously processed by Noridian and NHIC respectively. All Clinic Pro clients in those states will need to transition to Palmetto GBA as clearing house for electronic Medicare claims. More states switch to Trailblazer

Medicare part B. claims are now being processed by Trailblazer for Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. To send electronic claims direct to Trailblazer, Clinic Pro software met the transition requirements. When electronic claims are sent direct to the Medicare processor, there are no per-claim charges; because Clinic Pro software creates ANSI 837 files, they can be sent direct without clearing house intervention. Electronic claims sent direct to Medicare are free.

Availity Clearinghouse - No tax id

The Availity clearinghouse started rejecting claims that contained the tax ID as well as the NPI number in the billing doctor loop. Since other clearing houses do require the tax ID, a change was made specifically for the Availity clearinghouse.
The Availity clearinghouse accepts electronic claims for medical providers in Illinois, Texas, Florida and Washington.

Iowa Medicaid Taxonomy ID

Iowa Medicaid wants the taxonomy ID to be sent in Loop 2000, the PRV segment. Clinic Pro medical software changed the ANSI 837 electronic billing file to accommodate this change. For providers sending claims hardcopy, the corresponding changes were made to the CMS 1500 printing. Either that medical billing is performed, it has beem changed in Clinic Pro.

P2P Clearinghouse Texas workers comp claims

In the state of Texas, workers comp claims must be filed electronically. Clinic Pro medical software meets the requirements of filing electronic claims through the P2P clearinghouse. As a software vendor, Clinic Pro medical software sends ansi 837 claims to clearing houses across the country.
