ANSI 277

ClinicPro Software allows our customers to receive and interpret ANSI 277 files.  These files show the claims that were billed and the carrier's response including the fact that the claims were accepted or rejected.

ANSI 277 files are important for understanding why specific electronic claims were rejected and/or not processed. By reading and interpreting the 277, claims that were filed incorrectly can be resubmitted immediately.

ANSI 5010– final implementation date

ANSI 5010 implementation was delayed for six months that has been officially established as June 29, 2012. On that date, Medicare claims must be filed using ANSI 5010 format. Most Blue Cross Blue Shield programs as well as commercial clearinghouses are also honoring the cut off date.

ClinicPro software files ANSI 5010 claims to a variety of clearinghouses including the Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, Medicare in every state, Emdeon, Availity, and a variety of other clearinghouses. ClinicPro software makes every attempt to file electronic claims free to the customer.

Handwriting recognition for EMR

EMR- if you have a tablet PC to record your EMR notes, you may have the capability of hand writing recognition. If your tablet PC contains handwriting recognition, you can open any of the notes boxes in the EMR and hand write a note. The ClinicPro EMR will include your handwritten note in the EMR report except that it will be typed out just as any other note. In addition, you also have the option of opening DragonDictate or any other dictation software and dictating directly into a note. The EMR is built to allow customized Notes for those situations that do not fit into a template environment.

Vista Home

Vista Home: we are again urging you to avoid the Vista home operating system. We cannot guarantee that it will connect with your network appropriately; we know that there will be difficulty using the EMR with it. Microsoft has are ready indicated that they will be abandoning the Vista operating system in the near future. Because there have been so many complaints, they are still offering a free "downgrade" to XP. Take it! Vista is very slow and prone to "freezing up." The home edition is not meant to run a business; that is why it is called the "home" edition. Vista does offer a business edition. It is still slow but it networks more appropriately.
